Sandy Chuang was originally from Taiwan and earned her master’s degree in video coding and processing in Electrical Engineering at University of Southern California (USC) under the supervision of Dr. C.-C. Jay Kuo, the Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science with USC, and the worldwide renowned expert in the field of multimedia compression and computer vision, and obtained a profound training in the field.
Sandy is the No.1 employee who joined Visionular’s Silicon Valley office in late 2018. She is now the key architect for AuroraCloud, and tech lead in designing and developing cloud-based distributed video transcoding systems through the leveraging of machine learning and large-scale system design. Sandy’s expertise lies in video compression, image processing, machine learning, distributed system and cloud-based services.
